The Deputy chief was in New Delhi India to observe “Student Visa Day” an event to celebrate higher education ties between India and the United states.

On the other hand, Ms. Carlson also said that President Trump was reviewing the H-4 visa program and reports of possible revocation…but nothing yet.

So what does this posturing mean.  Here’s four interpretations of this news from my legal and political thinking cap.

  1. What if Trump really doesn’t care and just wants to throw red meat at his base?

Well, think about it.  Maybe Trump has to say something, but knows that the H-1B thing is not really a big deal at all.  Why not? There estimates that I see for numbers of the H-1B indians in the US ranges from 400k to 600k of these visa holders.  These are lawful, well educated, and employed people. Meanwhile…there are about 12-13 million people in the United states without status.  Unlike H-1Bs, which are over 95% bachelors, and over 50% masters or doctorates, your average person that lacks legal status in the United States has no such education – nor lawful employment.  The lack of status means they cannot be lawfully employed in the US, or even lawfully residing in the US. So President Trump probably doesn’t care about shaking up the H-1B system and may just be politically posturing because his political capital is not unlimited.

2) President Trump could be better use that political capital  We have identified a more pressing problem. What do you call people in the united states that are not lawfully there.  Some call them illegal immigrants. Some say they are undocumented…the technical term is that they have no legal status.  They are not h-1b, or h-4…or anything. So, we call them people without status to not judge them as much as the term illegal immigrant does.

The millions of people without status in the US are a far larger and more political advantageous target for the trump administration.  Remember his build the wall platform? How’s that going. Yeah no where…so that leads us to the next logical aspect of interpreting what Ms. Carlson’s comments on no changes mean.

3) What can you interpret from the build a wall stuff going absolutely nowhere – and fast.   Maybe that – It’s just pandering for votes. Do you really think he is going to get that wall built?  Or was that just something to shout at his rally. Does anyone honestly believe the wall will start construction in any real way before the Midterms?  No flipping way!! Why not!? Because it will take an – Act of Congress

4) Act of Congress.  What’s that mean? It means that H-1Bs are a law from back in 1990 and that has not be substantially tweaked or changed since 2004 because it takes an Act of Congress.  Congress is way less likely to act in 2018 because they have an election in November. If they do something to upset a vocal, highly educated, and affluent group that votes – Say Indian Americans that began their path to citizenship on an H-1B, then they are not going to do it….but that being said.  Those politicians will ask for money. – It’s just how the game is played.

Can an H-1B Invest in the Legal Marijuana Industry?

Legal marijuana, many H-1B holders off from a fresh session of Bhang at a Holi party may think it is perfectly normal.  However, H-1B visa holders then may want to open up business in the legal marijuana industry because it is growing and people like making money.  Especially easy money, but the money in the legal marijuana industry is anything but easy.  It’s all in cash and has other problems when it comes to regulators – Still, immigrants are quality Americans that want to start a business.  So our founder, Tom, weighed in on the issue.

Stay up to date & get alerts of new video content from Work Visas YouTube by subscribing with the button below.  Tom discusses H-1b tips in this video, which may be whyyou found this page.  It’s relevant to you to know what happens on your way from an H-1b tips visa holder on the path to your American Dream.  Legal marijuana. The main take away on this is that H-1B visa holders should steer clear of the legal marijuana industry until marijuana is dropped from the Controlled Substances Act (CSA). Until then, it pops up the federal criminal law that Tom discusses in the video above at 3:25.  Check it out.

That’s why Tom donates an hour of his time each week – to help America’s secret sauce stay and work in America. Tom Howard Immigration – google it.  This page should come up as  #1.  I mean, it’s flipping everywhere.  It’s the title of the page, the first few lines of the page and everything, but if you landed on this page because you googled that term – Welcome. See, in the video, I told people to google tom howard immigration. And I am not all that sure what it will return. One day, it will be just fine. That day is not today. I think I ramble too much in these and do not keep it centered on what it should be – useful information for immigrants that want to get their H-1B Visa.

One thing I know for sure Tom Howard immigration is going to be the search term for this page, and I’ll have to write several word with this term sprinkled in.  So this is how we plan on marketing it.  Tom Howard immigration needs practice.  He is more about code than visas – at least for now.  Repetition is the mother of all skill and this is a new skill I do not have.  It’s actually pretty hard to get past the times we live in, back in the day you could just stay behind the scenes.  But now, Tom Howard immigration requires a youtube channel because a human face gets more attention.

That’s why he’s donating an hour of his time each week to H-1B and L-1 visa holders or hopefuls to address their questions.  If you are an H-1B visa holder and have a question, please contact us on this website, or on our facebook page, or even leave a comment on our youtube channel.  The people like you are why we are here and over time, we really look forward to building a community.
